Project Brief
The aim of this project was to develop a piece which integrated typography and image well enough that they would feel like one working unit. Firstly sketches were created that embodied the feeling created by the poem. The concept of the poem, which was titled “Songs of a world Abandoned”, regarded the movement of the modern world away from nature. The author was examining how the modern age has become more and more digital as the countryside and nature are forgotten. From this concept, the idea of a world that is fading away and becoming harder and harder to realize was developed. Various images were tested, until finally separate images were used that felt they would describe the feeling of a world fading away from nature.
